About the Band
The core band is comprised of Keven and Holly Hanscom, Harley Barker, and Rob and Lisa Thompson. From time to time we envision inviting guest musicians and vocalists to join us, and they will be listed on this page when they are scheduled. But for now...
Keven Hanscom ~ Drummer/percussionist , but also a fine bassist! He has been serving the Lord most recently at Mathews Baptist Church (MBC) in their praise band, but has served for many years prior to that at other churches and events.
Holly Hanscom ~ Enthusiastic guitarist and vocalist who is driven by her great love for God! She is Keven's wife and also serves in the praise band at MBC, and has been playing for many years at other churches and events.
Harley Barker ~ Multi- instrumentalist and vocalist , a solid Christian who's joining us this time on bass and vocals. Harley plays regularly at Petsworth Baptist Church, but also gigs all over the region.
Lisa Thompson ~ Pianist/keyboardist and vocalist who has a passion for Jesus! She has several years of experience playing praise and worship music. Classically trained in piano and French horn, she now has had to learn to read by chord charts (LOL).
Rob Thompson ~ Band director, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist who wants to help draw people to the Lord through music. He has many years' experience leading worship and playing. He is the husband of Lisa.
Harley Barker will be joining us for the next two SimpleWorship events! He is a talented multi-instrumentalist - vocalist, and he'll be providing bass and vocals!
